  4. The image with overlying rings will 
  5. be seen on the left side of the screen 
  6. with the corneal curvature for each 
  7. ring, simulated KΓÇÖs, surface regularity 
  8. index (SRI), surface asymmetry index 
  9. (SAI), and potential visual acuity (PVA).

  11. SAI usually has a value of less than 0.5 
  12. for normal corneas.  If the cornea is 
  13. distorted the SAI increases and may 
  14. be greater than 5 for moderate 
  15. keratoconus for example.

  17. PVA is the estimate of what the visual 
  18. acuity should be based on the distortion 
  19. of the cornea.

  21. The SRI is correlated to the potential visual acuity.
